Normally, I hate the whole 'Rickroll'd' thing, but this is just awesome:

Edit: Ah, there we go. Vox has confusing interface.

The article is very, very long, but if you start reading it, I can pretty much guarantee you won't stop
This made me feel so many different things, but somehow, I can't find the appropriate words to describe it.

Uh, okay, I'll just copy what Zola did then. Here we go:
1. I am afraid of spiders. Ridiculously afraid of them. The other day, there was a spider on the ceiling in our living room, so I jumped up and dashed to the stairs and did a little 'I'm frightened' dance. Then, after several minutes, I worked up enough courage to go grab the book I was reading, and then hightailed it back to the stairs and sat there reading for about thirty minutes. When I finally worked up even more courage, I went back to sit in the living room again, but I refused to look up at the ceiling until Brian came home. By then, the spider had gone somewhere else, so Brian couldn't kill it. :(
2. I'm not a very interesting person, really. This is just a warning, because the other six facts might bore the crap out of you. So, if you hate being bored, turn back now.
3. Brian and I will be getting married in less than a month. This both frightens and excites me. We'll have been together three years this July, and we've lived together for almost two years.
4. I'm looking forward to the day when Brian and I go out and buy a house. Not because of the fact that we'll be home owners (though that is part of it), but because I will finally get to put pain on the walls. I'm so sick of living with white walls. Sometimes, I imagine that the walls in our apartment have color on them, just to make my self feel better.
5. I day dream a lot. Sometimes, I day dream about living in a world/universe different than this one. It's the same as reading a (fictional) book to me; it takes me to a place where, no matter how scary or frightening it is, I know it can't hurt me because it's not real.
6. I have in my mind what I think would be a really awesome couch/sofa design. One day, I might open Photoshop and try to draw it using vectors and whatnot.
7. I associate different...things to do with the senses with different people. I associate the smell of oranges with my papaw (maternal); sometimes when I'm in the produce section at the store, I'll breathe in deeply at the oranges and it reminds me of the weekends when I was younger. My sister and I would be sitting on the front stoop, and Papaw would pull up in his yellow truck. He would give each of us an orange, and cut a small hole in them with his pocketknife so we could suck the juice out. I associate the taste of red beans and rice with my mamaw (paternal); she made the best red beans and rice ever. I've had other red beans and rice that were really, really good, but nobody could top Mamaw's. I associate music and...awesome with my father; when I was younger, I hated listening to what I called 'old people music' (classic rock), but now, I find it's really the only thing I can stand on the radio. Also, my Dad is awesome, and anyone who has met or will meet him, will agree. There are other senses that I associate with other people, but those three I think are the strongest.
8. I can't think of an eighth one. Sorry.
I tag...no one. Whoever wants to do it, can do it. If no one wants to do it, well then whatever.
Other than TeamVox, who was the first person you added to your Vox neighborhood? What made you want to be their neighbor?

I never added TeamVox that I can recall. Anyway, the first person I added was http://elizasea.vox.com/ because I won an invite from her with my great haiku:

About a week ago, Brian and I made the discovery that we have a few digital channels through our cable. We had to auto program all the digital channels to find which ones got a signal and which ones didn't. Then, we had to make a list of channels that did get signals, and delete the channels that didn't. We have a few channels in HD (Discovery, Food Network, TNT, etc), which was a very nice surprise. However, the best surprise was learning that we have a Music HD channel. A music channel in high definition! It's so awesome! Music on the television! And the best part is that they actually show music videos and concerts and music related things. None of this 'Hogan Knows How to Rock the Flavor of Loving New York" bull, or "The Next Shot of Amore with Tila Tequila Made Parental Control" crap. I hate what regular cable music channels have become. A bunch of reality television bullshit. I don't even see the point of MTV or VH1 having music video countdowns anymore. They never show videos except on the countdowns, and then they only show a thirty second clip.
So, anyway, I didn't mean to go off there, sorry.
When I discovered this channel and all it's glory today (well, technically yesterday) at 7 PM, I left it on until 2 in the morning basking in the glory of honest-to-goodness music television. I hadn't realized how much I missed it until I had it back. I mean, I had a bit of music, but it was limited to listening in the car, which I don't get to do very much because Brian's always downloading podcasts and boring shit to listen to. And, since my computer is still not being used because of my lack of good, working monitor, I can't listen to the music on my playlist.
I mean, I honestly had no idea that music was such a big part of my life until now. I thought it was just something I enjoyed, but as I watched a concert (live, but previously recorded), I found myself actually wanting to cheer along with the crowd. I could feel the energy, strange as that may sound. I spent seven hours watching that channel, and I only turned it off when Keith Urban came on. I don't like Keith Urban; I don't know why, but I don't like him. Meh.
Oh yeah, and I flipped it over to regular cable when Lee Ann Womack came on. I don't like her too much either. Plus, it was some small, live (recorded) concert, and the microphones or the sound was just terrible. It sounded kind of metallic or something. Like she was singing into a tin can that was attached to another tin can with some string, and the second tin can was being held up to the microphone.
So, I'll probably be watching the music hd channel when I'm not watching law and order or the few other shows I actually make a point to watch. Back when MTV, VH1, and CMT showed music videos more than they showed anything else, that was how I discovered new artists and new songs. Now, because of the lack of music videos, I am very behind on new music, and I need to catch up.
Also, Rob Thomas is still as cute as I remember. God, I had such a crush on him in high school.
